Our Locations

Summersville Lake

Summersville Lake, famous for it's crystal clear water and towering cliffs is a wonderful place to explore via SUP. Rock jumps (under 6tf by USACE law), a trickeling waterfall, and golden nutall sandstone cliffs to scramble up from the water make this sport a natural playground for the whole family. Weekdays or weekend mornings are best for this location as it is a popular place for speedboats and pontoon boats and the wake can make things a bit exciting.

Kanawha Falls

A true hidden gem, Kanawha Falls is full of surprises. The beautiful falls views from the parking area are just a small taste of the views we have in store! Don't let the moving water of the river deter you, this spot is calm and great for beginners. There is a large flat water pool to help get you comfortable on the board. We can take a break at a nice sandy beach and then go explore the smaller falls. Depending on water levels there are different activities such as rock slides, jump rocks, and swimming under waterfalls! This location is water level dependent. If levels are too high we can not operate trips here and would go to Summersville Lake instead.

New River Gorge Bridge

Paddle under the iconic New River Gorge Bridge, located in the heart of the NEWEST NATIONAL PARK! Enjoy the flat moving water up stream of the bridge on the New River. Learn how to attain up river and play around in the friendly current all while enjoying the spectacular scenery. This is moving water on a river - some experience paddleboarding is a plus. Helmets are required for this activity due to moving water and rocks in the river. Minimum age of 14. Maximum group size is 5 participants. This location is restricted to specific flows. If you are interested in booking this trip you must do so through River Expeditions.
